I recently bought a Rhino 5/Bongo/Flamingo/Penquin package from McNeel. After spending some time with Rhino 5, I decided to dive in to Bongo. I was unable to install it, however, because, according to the error message, Bongo 1.0 must be used in conjunction with Rhino 4 SR3 or earlier.
Does this mean it is not compatible with Rhino 5? It seems odd that McNeel would sell the two together if they cannot be used together.
I suppose I can install Rhino 4, but I'd really rather not. For now I'm using Bongo 2.0 Beta. Does anyone know if I'll have to pay an upgrade fee to get the software that is actually functional with the package I bought?
Do you have the 32-bit version of Rhino 5 installed?
Bongo 1.0 is only a 32-bit application, so it will unfortunately not work with 64-bit Rhino 5.
If you have 32-bit Rhino 5 installed, can you please check with version is installed on the CD you have? It should say in small text on the CD itself.
Aha, that sounds like the problem. I do indeed have the 64-bit version installed.
Thanks for your reply!
